Young Craftsmen of the Year Award from 1995 to 2018
O V E R
The French Group, along with others, sponsored the Hayward's Heath CIC to mark the 100th Anniversary of the day guns fell silent at the end of World War 1. The French Group created and installed the silhouette featured in the image above. This was on display in the town in the lead up to this commemoration.
As a separate project for the day itself, the staff collected bottles for Project Poppy. This involved cutting and painting the bottles to create 2,500 Poppies to display. The Community came together on 11th November 2018 for a Lantern Walk and Laser Display Show as part of the commemoration, finishing in Victoria Park with an illuminated Poppy display.
Focus on the Crocus Initiative
The French Group has supported Hayward's Heath Rotary with their "Focus on the Crocus" project since 2010. This project raises money for the worldwide effort to eradicate Polio. Planting Crocus plots in green areas around the town, the project continues to this day. To purchase a plot, please go to www.itsmagic.org.uk
Every pound raised is matched by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation on a 2 for 1 basis.

175th Anniversary of
Haywards Heath Station
A full sized model of an 1841 train was built by The French Group as part of the CIC Art Trail for our local town Haywards Heath. The train (called Sophie by our workmen) was constructed in our workshop taking over 800 man hours.
It was then retained for the 175th anniversary of the first train arriving in Haywards Heath Station and has also been displayed at the Ardingly Showgrounds.
Now in new livery as a copy of "Hogwarts Express" the train is on permanent display at Tulley's Farm in Turners Hill.
